Winter Wellness
MAKING THE MOST OF THIS WINTER SEASON
At Pineridge Hollow we know that life can be depleting. When we are depleted, we lack the energy to engage in life's little moments, so we designed a destination to restore your energy and enrich your life.
“Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
SUNSHINE VITAMIN
It's time for more Vitamin D
The sun and its mighty power is nature's way of giving us energy to purse all life's abundances.
To help your circadian rhythm head out for some Vitamin D, the sun is the best way to absorb this super beneficial nutrient, midday is generally best. We all need and crave movement on the daily, for health and wellness.
Getting outside aids in improving feelings of happiness and frees up creativity, among other benefits it can boost the immune system and accelerate recovery from illness.
We encompass all seasons, keeping the Forest Trails accessible all year to enjoy the benefits of nature.

HYGGE
pronounced “hoo-gah.”
Winter is a wonderful time to reflect on the past year, appreciate what you hold in this present moment. Be gentle with yourself and brave as you venture into your inner nature.
Observe your thoughts without harsh judgement and give yourself time to reflect on this journey.
Despite all its calmness, Winter can be a difficult time with its colder temperatures and shorter daylight hours. But we can still find ways to connect and appreciate the power of its restorative qualities of the season.
Try the Hygge Lifestyle (dating back to the 1800's), it's about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures. Hygge is about cosiness and surrounding yourself with the things that make life good, like friendship, laughter and security, as well as more concrete things like warmth, light, seasonal food and drinks.
Wether you are continuing your journey, or looking to explore this comfort - we offer wellness workshops for everyone.
FOREST BATHING
The term emerged in Japan in the 1980s as a physiological and psychological exercise called shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere).
We have known it for centuries. The sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight dancing through the branches, the fresh, clean air — this gives us a sense of comfort. They ease our stress and worry, helping us to relax and to think more clearly.
Being in nature can restore our mood, giving us the gift of energy and vitality, refreshed and rejuvenated. It is the simple and therapeutic act of spending time in the forest.
Leave your phone behind, walk, or sit and just be in nature. Take a moment to appreciate your surroundings.
You can enjoy the forest trails all year around the property. Connect with your senses; listen to the birds, the sound of branches moving in the wind. Feel the textures that surround you, and look up - take in all that this plant has to show us.
Allow yourself to be left with wonder and aw as you walk the trails around the property
BREATH WORK
Winter can be gloomy, long, and cold. Don't let this season daunt you. Simply taking the time to breathe each day can equip you with everything your body needs to thrive in this climate.
Breath work can give you instant relief from anxiety and depression, creating space for calmness, be still, and just focus on your breath.
Aside from an oxygen chamber, breathing deeply in the fresh cool air is one of the best ways to oxygenate your blood.
Many benefits arise with oxygenating your blood, such as improving your immune system, helping your body self-repair, reducing stress, and improving brain function because every cell in your body needs the molecule.
